The legendary work of the Russian military historian Major General A.Vikovatov “The historical description of the clothes and weapons of the Russian troops” (1841 -1862) was noted by the personal gratitude of Emperor Nicholas I, and the Imperial Academy of Sciences awarded this composition of the prestigious demidian prize.
