In “S.N.U.F.F.” there is everything for which the reader loves the Pelevin brand: and jokes (which still want to read out loud), and a paradoxically accurately caught and sugared “spirit of time” (many passages (many passages relating to the orc “sacred wars, they ominously echoes with the most recent events in Russia)... And the fact that each next Pelevin text is invariably sadder, more piercing and tragic than the previous one (in the current heart it is sometimes torn, as in some“ Kashtanka ”) - So this is probably the property of the writer himself, with age migrating towards more and more pessimism and tear.
