Kurilian tea (five -line or cinquefoil) is a long -term low shrub of the pink family. Lapceta rarely reaches a height of 1.5 meters. The leaves of the plant are periystyas, covered with soft, but thick pile. Young shoots that have not yet reached one year old have a silky look. From June to the end of September, the Kurilian tea blooms in single flowers, up to three centimeters in diameter, or inflorescences.
The flower petals of wild Kuril tea are yellow or white. The core of the flower is very fluffy, thanks to many stamens. In cultivated varieties, the palette is richer, since both pink and red-orange flowers are found. The plant blooms and fruit at the same time. The fruits of the bush are similar to brown buttons covered with thin hairs.
