Saints Adrian and Natalia. Skorobotko N.V.
The first centuries of Christianity give us numerous examples of the martyrdom of Christian springs. Often, it was the marriage that prepared people for true faith and the desire to suffer for Christ even to death. In the family of spouses Adrian and Natalia Nicomedia, the husband believed after his wife. Natalia was a Christian before marriage, and Adrian was already in marriage, as an official, asked himself to fit himself into the list of Christians sentenced for faith in Christ to death, and was subjected to a painful execution. But Natalia, even though she was not tortured, is revered by the martyr: Adrian tormented her eyes, and his wife strengthened him, and after his death she refused to marry again and soon after that she died on the coffin of her wife.
