Salt of the earth. Markov G.M.

In 1954-1960, Georgy Mokeevich Markov wrote the continuation of the story of the family of the Sibiryaks of the Strict ones- the novel “Salt of the Earth” (Prince 1-2), where he traced the fate of the children and grandchildren of Matvey, who had already changed their social status, which became scientists , employees, party workers - not so much “seeders” as converters of post -war Siberia. It is quite in the spirit of the time in the novel that the image of a young rebel with the character of the “sixties” - graduate student Alexei Krayukhin appears.

The novel was successfully filmed and deservedly gained audience sympathies.
