Ambrose Bears can be called the direct literary heir to Edgar Allan PO and the predecessor of Howard Lovecraft. The whipped and uncompromising articles brought him the glory of a brilliant publicist and the nickname of the merciless Birece (Bitter Bierce), and the “Satan Dictionary” was a molecan for quotes and was recognized as a classic of satires of the twentieth century.
Birsa experienced a special interest in the psychology of horror and metaphysical Riddles, so his stories are filled with mysterious situations with unpredictable and cheap interchanges, where the heroes die not from a shot, not from a knife, not from the teeth of the beast, but from fear.
