Savannah's watchman: Tales. Luda
, under the unusual name of Luda, Lyudmila Makovskaya is hidden, in the marriage of Shnitzer (1913-2002), born in a Polish family in Berlin and since 1925. He lived in Paris. Luda considered the propaganda of Russian culture to be the case of her life, and she also wrote books for children - she retold fairy tales of different nations and composed her own.
The book “About the Strong and Weak” included two tales: “Savannah’s watchman” (Kenyan. ) and the "rulers of the forest" (based on folklore of the South American Indians). The first fairy tale talks about the cunning leopard, who tried to take an important place for the watchman and the defender of the animals inhabiting the savannah from bloodthirsty predators. But his insidiousness was discovered, and the Savannah’s guard became an honest, keen and incorruptible ostrich. In the second fairy tale, tiny, but numerous ants are measured by forces with large evil beasts and easily win the dispute.
On the pages of the book, juicy colors riot - purple savannah, cyan jungle. Illustrations of marvelous beauty, a whole universe inhabited by graceful animals, was drawn by the artist David Khaikin (1927-2008).
Unusual plots, exotic animals and the unconditional victory of the wise and good over the children of preschool and junior school age. The book is undoubtedly awaiting repeated readings and examination.
It is recommended for children 4-7 years old.
