Better a cuckoo in the sky than a cuckoo in my head. Viola thought about this on the way to a small town near Moscow, anticipating a cheerful adventure. The Elephant publishing house asked Viol Tarakanova, who writes under the pseudonym Arina Violov to go to Kustovo to take part in the game “Search for Treasures”. The game was started by the mayor of Peter Zotov to attract tourists to his city. The idea was that the fork should find a gold chest with the diary of Evdokia, a local celebrity, and use it for his book.

Tarakanova arrives in Kustovo, settles in the mayor’s house, and enters the game. But the organizers gave the wrong plan of the terrain, so the fork accidentally digs out a chest, but a box... with a children's shirt in brown spots, a ball and a knife! Tarakanova finds out that this is the evidence of a long -time murder of a little boy, and the criminal is already in prison. But the beloved woman of the convict is confident in his innocence, and asks Viola to prove it. And when the fork finds out who the real villain becomes completely uneasy for her. After all, this man was too close!
