Demobilized Lieutenant Ilya Zhuravlev returns from the front. However, the road home turns around for him with an unexpected incident: bandits attack on the forestry on the railway line. Many passengers are interrupted, almost all are robbed. Miraculously, the surviving Zhuravlev reaches the local regional police department. There, the senior operative of the threat, Captain Klim Orlov, attracts the front -line soldier to the operation to capture the thugs.
