In the preparation of this publication, the book “Rev. Siluan Athos” was taken as a basis, published by the Compound of Russian on the Athos of the Holy Panteleimon Monastery in 1998. From the previous book, the publication included the preface of Jeroschimonah Safroniy and the writings of the elder Siluan. Rev. Siluan is our compatriot who lived a complex and instructive life and has become a model of virtues in a holy -Panteleimon monastery during his lifetime. This poured him out of the midst of the then brethren, so that he was often addressed for advice, spiritual support and edification. Fortunately, the elder left his thoughts, searches and spiritual struggle for us as an invaluable textbook in his scriptures. The Scriptures of Siluan put him in a number of the Holy Fathers of the Church - spiritual writers, whose creations make up the Golden Fund in the fertile treasure of the Orthodox Church. The publication of the book is timed to the 70th anniversary of the blessed death of the Monk. The book “Rev. Siluan Athos.
