In an expensive private school for girls, a picture of a smiling guy from a neighboring men's school once appears on the board of ads. On top of the boy’s face, an inscription from the cut letters “I know who killed him”. Chris was killed almost a year ago, his body was found on the idyllic lawn for girls. How did he get there? Who did you meet there? Who is the killer? All these questions remained unanswered. So far, one day a girl does not appear in the police station and this picture with the inscription gives Detective Steven Moran. Stephen has been waiting for his chance for several years to get to the Dublin police murder department. And this chance herself sailed into his hands. Together with Antoinette Conway, the notebook of the murder department, he goes to the Svta Kilda school to figure it out. They do not understand that they will find themselves in a real aspen nest, where young girls, so innocent and cute in appearance, are actually more dangerous than the worst criminals. It is smarter, more dodgy, deceitful - for sure.

The new detective Tana French, behind which the characteristic “Irish Donna Tartt” is a great psychological novel, built on an excellent detective frame. This is a psychological drama, and a romance of growing up, and, of course, a classic detective with a closed circle of suspects and developing a private school in a strange world.
