Secrets do not die

In one of the houses of the city of Scarlette Falls, shooting occurs in the middle of the night. At the crime scene, they find the body of the former assistant sheriff and all evidence leads to his adopted son Evan. The young man himself disappears without a trace and the sheriff, the leading investigation, is sure that it was he who committed the crime.

Lance simply cannot stay away from the case when the mother of Evan begs him for help. But is Evan really a victim, how is his mother trying to convince everyone, or did the “bad blood” make him a cruel killer? Time is running out, and the case comes to a dead end.
