The delusions and ideals, the advantages and disadvantages of historical persons had a direct impact on the history of Russia. Most of the names of the authors of memoirs are known to lovers of Russian history, these are personalities who had special merits to the Fatherland, and their opinion about each of the Russian emperors and empresses is of particular value. Together, these stories make up an expressive portrait of past times, saturated with interesting details that reduce the distance between the past and modernity.
