Perennial rhizome grass with bundles of narrow leaves located at the ends of the erect shoots that form a loose bump resembling a miniature palm tree, for which the plant got its name. One of the best plants decorating the garden for a long time is decorative even in winter, since it does not drop the leaves for the winter. Narrow, linear, pointed, somewhat drooping leaves, bright green, are located in bunches at the ends of standing shoots. Until the middle of winter, the color of the foliage is preserved. In summer, blooms with bristly spikelets, but they do not represent a great decorative value.
