For the formation of large, aligned root crops, shoots must be protected, leaving 5-7 cm between plants. Light, not overlaid, slightly acidic, well-alerated soils are preferred. It does not tolerate fresh organic fertilizers. Further care consists in regular watering, loosening of the soil, top dressing. Fresh organic fertilizers cannot be applied! Soil moisture should be uniform throughout the growing season, in order to avoid cracking of root crops. Cleaning is carried out in July and August - selectively, the main one since mid -September.
