Seed Carrots "Long red without a core", this. ALT, b/p, 1.5 g
A popular productive variety of medium -late ripening. Cylindrical root crops with a blunt tip, orange-red, 19-23 cm long, with a small core or without it. The variety is characterized by high commodity and excellent taste. It grows well in illuminated areas with loose fertile sandy loam or alloyed soil with a deep arable layer. Poorly tolerates shading. It cannot stand fresh manure: when introducing it, it forms curved root crops, with many roots. Sowing is performed in late April-early May to a depth of 2-3 cm, soil is pre-loading. When the first real leaves appear, the seedlings are thinned into the interval of 3x10 cm. Carrots are cultivated with moderate nitrogen and phosphorus-caline nutrition. The best predecessors: potatoes, cabbage, cucumber, tomato, onion.
