Kalina Xantkarpum - up to 2-3 m high, the crown in his youth is oval with vertically growing branches, later - rounded, quite wide. The leaves are blatant, with three large gear blades, light green, in the fall-yellow or yellowish-red, bright. White flowers are collected in shields, characteristic of the type. The fruits are bright yellow, shiny, large, edible. The root system is branched rod. Winter -hardy

Conditions for growing

is not demanding on the soil, but it grows better on fertile, well -moistened soils. It is better to plant in sunny places.

Features of agricultural technology

Kalina requires pollinators. And in order to get a good harvest of useful berries annually, 2-3 different varieties must be planted on the site. Fertening is carried out twice: before the growing season and before the start of the leaf fall. In the spring they make: nitrogen - 50 g, phosphorus -40 g and potassium - 30 g per square meter. In the fall, only phosphorus and potassium are given twice as much as spring dose. Kalina should be rejuvenated by cutting all the old branches at a height of 15 - 20 cm from the surface of the soil.

The size of the adult plant: up to 1.5 m high, width up to 2 m.
