Small perennial grass with blue-gray leaves. It forms a magnificent semicircular bush 30-40 cm high. The sheet is narrow, linear, from gray-green to steel-blue color. The inflorescences are gray-green, in soft panicles on a straight stem, after flowering they become light brown. Blooms in June - July. They plant it in dry places or in heather thickets so that its silver color brings revival into the composition of the site. The plant is thermophilic, prefers sand-humus, permeable, well-drained soils and sunny places. After 3-4 years, the plant should be divided. 

For more intense coloring of leaves, it is recommended to transplant once every 2 years. In the cold years, it does not give bright color. Sowing is made in May, after warming up the soil. Seeds are slightly sprinkled with earth, well compacted and watered. After the emergence of seedlings (after 15-20 days) they are thinned out or planted, withstanding the distance between plants 25-30 cm.
