A representative of a large family of Sitnikov in the wild growing in moist, swampy places and in shallow water. The Starhead variety is the most interesting and decorative look - its stems are similar to the leaves of Iris, in the summer it blooms with brown spherical inflorescences. The leaves are flat to 5 mm wide, bored with the base and cover the stem. At the top of the stem, there are several round dense inflorescences of dark brown color up to 1 cm in diameter. Plant height up to 30 cm.
