Emil Verkharn (1855-1916) - Belgian franco -speaking poet and playwright. Vl. Bryusov was fascinated by the top, he translated him a lot, wrote about him, having largely adopted a symbolistic tradition for Russian -speaking literature.

Valery Yakovlevich called the Verkharna “Dante of modernity”, but, unfortunately, by the 21st century his lyrics in A lot is forgotten in Russia. We propose to recall the great poet of the XIX-XX centuries. As part of the chosen and translated V.Ya. Bryusov of his poetry.
