Selected speeches. Demosthenes

The basis of this collection is the political speeches of Demosthenes, in particular directed against Philip of the Macedonian. Among them, in turn, a peculiar standard of the energetic and expressive Demosthenes style is a cycle of three classic “Olynphic speeches” uttered on the occasion of the campaign of the Macedonian army to the Greek policy of Olynf. Also, the collection includes other speeches of Demosthenes, devoted not only to the foreign, but also for the domestic policy of Athens, social and ethical issues.
