Nikolai Berdyaev, an outstanding Russian philosopher, acted as an ideologist of personalism. He believed in the exclusivity of each person and its strength. The philosopher believed that the inner life of each individual person was alienated from the outside world. He saw a deep conflict in which there was a modern man with the outside world and society, who sought to suppress his inner spiritual life. “Self -knowledge” is one of the last works of Berdyaev, a certain result of his philosophical heritage. The eternal issues that Berdyaev thought about - love, loneliness, freedom, rebellion, the meaning of life and his search are today relevant, more than ever, the ideas of the thinker are original and modern, his style is the greatest phenomenon of the Russian language.
