The presented monograph has three sections: semiotics, comparative studies, poetics - all of them are internally interconnected by the actualization of the meaning of artistic forms, both verbal and picturesque. In the first section, the subject of interpretation is the semiosis of Hellenic mythology, genres, paradigms and other elements in Russian literary classics. In the second section in the focus of attention, the work of the outstanding representative of the Russian historical avant -garde Pavel Filonov in semiotic parallels with the painting of the field of Cezanne, Paul Klee, the heritage of Veliir Khlebnikov, Andrei Platonov... The third section is dedicated to the poetry of literary works from Homer to Vyach. I. Ivanova. The interpretation of the masterpieces of Russian and foreign literature in the perspective of “new historicism” allows you to concentrate the reader’s attention on “a meeting with a person for centuries” (M.
