The book of an essayist and translator Robert Putzec is not only about animals. The author turns to the works of the greatest writers, poets and philosophers in search of answers to the eternal questions of human existence. His personal bestiary tells about love, desire, suffering and death.

Robert Putzek studied sociology at the University of Warsaw, but never worked in his specialty. He spent ten years in Amsterdam, worked as a dock for several years. After returning to Poland, he began to translate from English and Dutch; He wrote for newspapers, mainly for the "Commonwealth". For the past eight years, he has been living alone in the old forest hut somewhere at the foot of the Svenoksha mountains.
