Robert Putzek studied sociology at the University of Warsaw, but never worked in his specialty. He spent ten years in Amsterdam, worked as a dock for several years. After returning to Poland, he began to translate from English and Dutch; He wrote for newspapers, mainly for the "Commonwealth". For the past eight years, he has been living alone in the old forest hut somewhere at the foot of the Svenoksha mountains.
