The book of the St. Petersburg translator S. A. Stepanov is devoted to the problems of Shakespeare's. The main attention in it is paid to the “sonnets” of W. Shakespeare, who are presented in this publication translated by S. A. Stepanov, the problem of authorship of the famous book, prototypes of lyrical heroes. Despite the fact that the scientific literature on the "sonnets" is huge, the author is trying to give his own answers to the main questions of Shakespeare's studies, abandoning the usual postulates and building his study on a different foundation.
