American writer Howard Phillips Lovecraft did not publish a single book during his lifetime, printing only in magazines. Often he had to work as a “ghost writer”, creating stories for more successful colleagues and giving them his stories.

“Sharped with pharaohs” was written specifically for Harry Gudini: an adventure story about the escape from the other world and a meeting with mythical gods liked the illusionist and gained great fame.

The stories included in the collection , adhere to typical of Lovecraft Spiritism, pagan rituals and dreams.
