A collection of stories by Boto Strauss “She/He” is a book about modern men, women and their relationship. The book was prepared by the Swiss writer and playwright Thomas Hurliman. It consists of 35 stories with a pair of paragraphs to several dozen pages. The book begins and ends with excerpts from the story “Book Fairy”, in which we are talking about the relationship of the narrator with the sealing “Book Fairy”: she tries to return it from reading to reality. Relations between a man and a woman appear in the form of incredible stories, bright, piercing, unusual, with their philosophy and subtext. The depth, subjectivity and sophistication of the perception of the inner world of contemporaries, an attempt to understand the causes of the psychological crisis of personality in close connection with the analysis of the public climate are distinguished by Strauss from writers of other literary trends in Germany.
