John Ronald Ruel Tolkien (01/01/1892-2.09.1973) - writer, poet, philologist, professor of Oxford University, ancestor of modern fantasy. In 1937, the “hobbit” was written, and in the mid-1950s three books “The Lord of the Rings” were seen, telling about the Middle-earth-a world inhabited by representatives of magic races with complex culture, history and mythology. In subsequent years, these novels were translated into all world languages, adapted for cinema, animations, audiopius, theater, computer games, comics and gave rise to a lot of imitations and parodies.
“Silmarillion” - one of the worst -scale worlds in history Fantasy, the mythological canon, which John Ruel Tolkien has constituted throughout his life. He brought the scattered fragments together, preparing the text for the publication, the son of Tolkien Christopher. In 1996, he instructed the illustrator Ted to draw a series of color works for a full-color edition.
