Singing wire. Gosinni R.
The book continues a series of comics about the adventures of the brave cowboy of the lucky Luke. This time, the hatch helps Western Union to lay the first transcontinental line of telegraph.
Lucky Luke, along with Tintin and Asterix, is one of the three most famous characters in the Franco-Belgian comics. The fearless lonely cowboy, who “shoots faster than his shadow,” was invented in 1947 by the artist Maurice de Bever, who worked under the pseudonym Morris. In 1955, writer Rene Gosinni joined him as a screenwriter. Their further joint work on the series lasted more than 20 years, and this time is rightfully called the "golden age" of the lucky Luke. Each story of this cycle is an exciting comedic western, in which real historical events associated with the development of the Wild West are reflected.
and by the way, in the mid -1980s, Maurice de Bever still forced his main character to quit smoking! Since then, instead of cigarettes, Lucky Luke began to keep a straw in his mouth, and for this the World Health Organization even handed the artist a medal.
