Austria, the thirties. The old watchmaker and his spouses grow three daughters, whom his father called “Edelweiss sisters”: the hard and mundane Johann, smart, shy burgit, which helps his father to repair the clock and sees his calling, and charming Lotta.

No matter how happy and carefree the life of the sisters is, dark times come. Now they will have to risk everyone to save the country that they love with all their hearts.

But even in complete darkness the tiny seeds of love and hope can germinate.
