Alexey Nikolaevich Haruzin (1864-1932)-a bright Russian ethnographer, anthropologist and prominent statesman. A native of a unique merchant family that gave the country a number of talented scientists, he devoted many years to the study of culture and characteristics of different peoples. One of the results of his interest in the Slavic theme was the book "Slavic dwelling in the North-Western Territory." Its material is valuable to the latitude of the theme, since it goes far beyond the indicated territory. Highly appreciated by contemporaries, this book is very informative and still in demand.
