The Indo -European nature of the Slavic paganism follows from the very fact of the Slavs belonging to the family of Indo -European parks. That is, there are all signs that in the not so distant past the Pre -Slavs used the main versions of the general -European sacred practices of derivatives of the derivatives of a more ancient paradigmatic model of the world order. The theme of the origin of the paganism of the Slavs in this work is associated with the reconstruction of just such a universal model, as well as with the bringing a number of fundamental provisions in accordance with it. In particular, this applies: - firstly, the inner harmony of certain legends and rituals of the Slavs as a single complex of beliefs; - Secondly, correspondence of such a complex with related complexes of other Indo-Europeans; - thirdly, demonstrations of no less expressive samples of the archaic faith, associated with the stage preceding the Indo-European level of development of society; - Finally, the reflection in the symbolism of the subsequent Christian era all the same elements of the pagan period. Thus, the obvious Indo -European beginning of the early religious views of the Slavs here is coordinated with other theological systems of a single genesis, which is the main criterion for the accuracy of the reconstruction proposed to the reader.
