Roman “Small Snow” (Sasame Yuki) is one of the most famous works by Dzyunitiro Tanizaki (1886–1965), in which the skill of the writer manifested itself in its entirety and originality.
This is a family saga that draws life. Four sisters from an old merchant family. Brought up in a traditional spirit, but noticeably Europeanized and not alien to artistic talents, they act as a keeper of culture in the face of an impending war and a new barbarism.
