In St. Petersburg, a dead prostitute girl was found, killed in a particularly sophisticated way. Apparently, the murder is ritual, and the next victim is confirmed. Konstantin Marshal, an assistant to the head of the capital's detective, is looking for a criminal, but he masterfully confuses traces. Meanwhile, the killer is very close, and the life of the beloved woman of the detective hangs in the balance.
