Orhan Pamuk is a famous Turkish writer, the owner of numerous national and international awards, including the Nobel Prize in Literature for "finding the soul of his melancholy city." In fact, the action of almost all the novels of the writer takes place in Istanbul, the city of mysterious and beautiful, which survived the highest flowering and sad twilight of decline. The action of the novel “Snow”, however, develops in a small provincial town, where a young poet arrives in search of a solution to the causes of the death of several young girls who committed suicide. Here, as if on the edge of the earth, a completely different people live, professing strict religious rules. Cut off from the rest of the world with immense white spaces, brought on the roofs with snow, the town does not think to doze, but on the contrary - carefully monitors every step of an uninvited guest...
