In 2024, several writers and fraudo poets celebrate the 100th anniversary. Among them are Yuri Bondarev, Boris Vasiliev, Vasil Bykov, Vladimir Bogomolov, Viktor Astafyev, Bulat Okudzhava, Julia Drunin, Nikolai Starshinov.
Vasil Vladimirovich Bykov (1924 - 2003) - a famous Soviet writer and public figure, participant Great Patriotic War, which determined the topics, plots and choice of the heroes of his works.
The book included two of his stories. The heroes of "Sotnikov" - two participants in the partisan detachment, having set off in search of provisions, are captured by the German policemen. The wounded, but unbending Sotnikov is sentenced to death, and execution is executed by his comrade fisherman.
“Crane scream” tells about the heroic resistance of a small group of the Red Army soldiers, who are ordered to delay the German offensive at the railway crossing.
Vasil Bykov in his work always turned to important philosophical issues: the price of life and death, cowardice and heroism, fidelity to duty and betrayal.
