Sovereign The most significant and ambiguous work of the Florentine statesman of the Renaissance of Niccolo Machiavelli. For many years this book was associated with the policy of poison and dagger. After the publication of the “Sovereign”, the term “Machiavellism”, denoting cynicism, permissiveness, and duplicity in politics, appeared.
