The collection has been prepared as part of the first joint project of Russian and British historians to publish documents of Soviet-British relations from the start of the Cold War. The publication includes documents of political, diplomatic, military and intelligence agencies from the archives of Russia and Great Britain, reflecting the transition of Soviet-British relations from the Union in the Second World War to confrontation (Cold War). Particular attention is paid to the process of making foreign policy decisions in Moscow and London. The documents are equipped with a detailed scientific comment and notes clarifying their content and significance in the general context of Soviet-British relations. For students, teachers, scientists and all those interested in the history of relations between the USSR and Great Britain.
