The book of the outstanding Norwegian polar explorer Fridtjof Nansen is dedicated to his expedition to 1912. The sailing of Vesklem, along the coast of Spitsbergen and published in the Norwegian, was published in 1920. The book was published for the first time in 1938 in the publishing house of the Glavsevmorputi; The preface was written by the Russian Oceanologist, geophysicist, researcher of the Arctic V. Yu. Visa (1886-1954).
