St. Sergius of Radonezh: Collection
The book is dedicated to St. Sergius of Radonezh, who played an outstanding role in the construction of a single Russian state and the spiritual strengthening of the Russian people. The book included the first life of the Orthodox saint, compiled by his disciple Epiphanius the Wise in 1418, the historical research of Empress Ekaterina the Great, a study on the history of the Trinity - Sergius Lavra of Moscow University I.M. Snegirev and the cultural article of the religious thinker P.A. Florensky. The attention of readers will undoubtedly attract rare, little -known works of talented authors of the XIX century - the Life poem “Radonezh Hermit, St. Sergius the Wonderworker ”Archimandrite Mitrofan (M.L. Vorontsov), as well as an article by the poet, Hoffmeister of the imperial court K.K. Sluchevsky. The publication of the Libretto of the "Radonezh Oratorio" of the modern St. Petersburg poet Evgeny Lukin is completing. The world premiere of the oratorio took place on October 19, 2014 in the Great Hall of St. Petersburg - the St. Petersburg Philharmonic named after D.D. Shostakovich.
