The conflict between the planets of Airem and E'rono, which has been going on for five years, is about to draw into itself neighboring star systems. Only the marriage of the heirs of royal families of both planets could help conclude a strong world, but this prevented a sudden attempt on a married couple. The Jedi Knight Gella Natai goes in search of a criminal to stop the newly begun war, and Chancellor Kyon Greilark instructs his son Axel to represent the interests of the republic in this investigation. Axel does not trust the Jedi and their unconditional faith in force, and Gelle does not like the pomp of a young man.
