Stefan Zweig (1881-1942) - an outstanding Austrian writer, who also acted as a poet, essayist, critic, playwright, author of historical biographies. The total circulation of his works only during his lifetime amounted to 60 million copies. Nevertheless, about the private life of the “great European”, his character, hobbies, unrealized ideas, about the causes of his suicide in the distant Brazil of a wide circle of readers, including in Russia, very few are known. The author of the book Fedor Konstantinov, using all the available Russian and foreign sources, tried not only to build the collected facts into the chronological chain, but also to turn the portrait of Cweig into a multi -color gallery of his environment and era.
