Stoicism. Zenon, Mark Aurelius, Epictete

Stoicism as a philosophical teaching combined elements of materialism, idealism and atheism. Over time, the idealistic trend in stoicism grew, and Stoicism itself turned exclusively into ethical teaching. The stoic teaching in many respects influenced the formation of early Christianity.

The most significant representatives of Stoicism were Zenon, Epictete and Mark Aurelius. They lived at different times, their social status was different. But each subsequent one was familiar with the works of the predecessor.
