Andrey Platonov (real name Andrei Platonovich Kliment, 1899 - 1951) - Russian writer, playwright, poet. As a front -line correspondent, Andrei Platonov was in the civil war. Later, with the rank of captain, he served as the military commander of the newspaper Red Star during the Great Patriotic War. Huge life and military experience formed the basis of the richest creative heritage of the writer. The brightest feature of A. Platonov’s prose is its original language that has no analogues in Russian literature. The theme of the story “The Hidden Man” (1927) is a civil war with all the horrors of its manifestation: grief, wanderings, death. The protagonist of the novel “Pit’s (1930) Voshchev is looking for the meaning of life. Trying to find answers to eternal questions, he is forgotten in work - digging a pit. The effect of the story "Sandless teacher" (1927) takes place in Central Asia. A young teacher arrives at school for its intended purpose. The enthusiasm with which she begins to work is soon replaced by confusion: hungry and sick students attend classes irregularly to local residents who were exhausted in the fight against sand, there is nothing to deal with school. The category of lightning blinded the experienced driver Maltsev - the hero of the story “In the Beautiful and Fierce World” (1937). The blinded, he saw the road that he constantly ran, the semaphors worked, the car obeyed, although a different composition was ahead in the way of the rushing courier train. Platonov said about their heroes - and about their people - “they lived a complete and common life with nature and history - and history fled in those years like a steam locomotive, dragging the world burden of poverty, despair and humble inertness.”
