The collection includes the stories of the famous Russian writer Boris Stepanovich Zhitkov, addressed to children of secondary school age.
Zhitkov Boris Stepanovich (1882-1938) was born in Novgorod in the family of a teacher of mathematics. He studied at the gymnasium, then he entered the Novorossiysk University, which he graduated from Life in 1906 at the St. Petersburg Polytechnic Institute at the shipbuilding department.
Persistence and perseverance helped Zhitkov to master many professions: naval officer, shipbuilder, navigator sailboat. , teacher of physics. He became a writer by accident: at the request of K. Chukovsky, he recorded one of his stories. And soon stories for children appeared in the magazines: “Compass”, “About the Monkey”, “How I Caught Man”, “On the Ice” and many others. All the stories of Boris Zhitkov are true, he wrote about what he happened to see or do it himself.
