Strategy. The main work of the Russian Clausewitz. Svechin A.
Russian Clausewitz - as in the West they call Alexander Andreevich Svechin (1878-1938), one of the founders of the Academy of the General Staff and the founders of domestic strategic thought. The main work of Svechin is devoted to the strategy of warfare. This famous book is not limited only to the issues of using the armed forces, for the first time considering the influence of politics, diplomacy, economics on the course and result of military conflicts. According to Svechin, "war is not a cure for the domestic diseases of the state, but a serious exam in the health of domestic policy." It was the Russian Clausewitz long before the Second World War made absolutely accurate forecasts: the new world war will begin because of Poland, and the Great Patriotic War will take a lingering character, require the mobilization of huge resources and tension of all the forces of our country.
“Strategy” of Alexander Svechina is an excellent manual for the development of creative thinking, which, of course, should be in the intellectual arsenal of everyone who understood the need for a strategic approach to any important and responsible business.
