Russian Clausewitz - as in the West they call Alexander Andreevich Svechin (1878-1938), one of the founders of the Academy of the General Staff and the founders of domestic strategic thought. The main work of Svechin is devoted to the strategy of warfare. This famous book is not limited only to the issues of using the armed forces, for the first time considering the influence of politics, diplomacy, economics on the course and result of military conflicts. According to Svechin, "war is not a cure for the domestic diseases of the state, but a serious exam in the health of domestic policy."
