The epic novel “Strict” by the famous Siberian writer Georgy Makeevich Markov can be fully called historical. In his work, the author through the fate of the peasant family of strictly painfully and figuratively draws a picture of the life of the Siberian Territory during the period of major historical events - the Russo -Japanese War, the 1905 revolution, the October Revolution of 1917 and the Civil War.
The main character of the novel Matvey Stroggov passes “Fire, Water and Copper Pipes”, from a peaceful peasant of the bearer to the commander of the Red Partisan detachment, proving to himself and others that a person should always remain a person and with honor to leave any life conflicts.
In 1952, the Roman Strogova was awarded the USSR State Prize, and in 1975 the film of the same name was shot, which broke all the records of spectator popularity.
