Stroke and cerebrovascular pathology in children and adolescents. Edited: Shchederkina I.O.

The book describes the current state of the problem of stroke and cerebrovascular diseases in children and adolescents, the accumulated experience in diagnosis and approaches to the therapy of this pathology in various clinics. Particular attention is paid to the etiological factors leading to the damage to the vessels of the brain in pediatrics, which determines the approaches to therapy in the acute period, as well as assessing the risks of relapse and secondary prevention. The presented experience of the first center in Russia for the treatment of cerebrovascular pathology in children allows us to evaluate the prevalence of children's stroke in Russia, to standardize approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of strokes in children, followed by the assessment of the most effective methods of therapy. The accumulated data shows that more effective is not a multidisciplinary approach when conducting patients with cerebrovascular pathology, but creating a team of specialists prepared for solving this problem. The publication is intended for doctors of various pediatric specialties, senior students of medical universities.
