Lisa Hawley's life was wonderful. She met her future husband back in high school, they got married, graduated from the university; Erich had a brilliant career, and Lisa gave birth to two children. But, alas, feelings faded. They were not destined to live happily ever after.

Lisa did not lose weight for long: her children, Theo and Juliet, were small, and she could not afford such a luxury as depression.

Now the children have long grown up and left, and she has completely devoted herself to work, she became the owner of the fashion boutique on the native island of Nanticak. Only now her favorite house needs to be repaired. Lisa turns to Mak Whitney, a local contractor. The spark runs between them, and Lisa seems to be that she will finally be able to trust the man again. The only problem is that Mack is ten years younger than her.

as if conspiring, Theo and Juliet return to the summer. Each of them is lucky to home his luggage of failures, disappointments and fears. They worry about their mother, fearing that Mac can break her heart.

The inhabitants of the island of Nantaka will have to survive the summer, full of surprises, hopes and love.
