Summer in Mikhalvka and in Wilhelmuvka. Korchak Ya.
The novels of Yanusha Korchak “Summer in Mikhaluvka” and “Summer in Wilhelmuvka” were first published in Warsaw more than a hundred years ago, and it is amazing how relevant they remain, how much the style and ideas of Korchak are not outdated over time.
< < P> I would like to visit these summer “colonies”-lagers at the same time as these children: to fight for the right to eat a hump, participate in a friendly court, build ships on trees, collect a basket of mushrooms or listen to the same stories of the very Janusz Korczak. After all, this is happiness!the happiness of not only to be a child, but also to be near the child, learn to understand him and try to understand this not always happy “adult” world with him.
The story “Summer in Mikhaluvka” is published in the classic translation of Kinga Senkevich, the story “Summer in Wilhelmuvka”, as well as the eighth chapter from the story “Summer in Mikhalug” is published in Russian for the first time in the translation of Victoria Fedorova. Conducted illustrations for the book were made by Kasya Denisevich, with them the book looks almost like the diary of Korchak himself.
